Access :
From departure airport to koli and return, tickets cost around 250 to 450 euros/pers with luggage depending airline and length of time of the itinary (or more depending dates).
From departure airport (Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Netherlands) to HELsinki airport : Plane, if not with Finnair, you'll need probably 1 night in Helsinki (possible citytrip). It's usually better to book flights asap. We'll inform you which flights are the best and cheapest. Same for kid's discounts and about your luggage costs (with eventual wintersport material). We advice you all what is usually needed to know.
With several airlines, you can check-in your large ski-snowboard equipment with extra costs and special delay for the check-in and boarding at gate or on the plane. During your changes of planes, control that your ski-equipment follows :) We'll give you some informations and advices depending the airline company, you'll use. Maybe, you can share big checked-in luggages with your friends (to decrease number of luggages)
From Helsinki to Joensuu (north-Karelian regional capital city) : Several daily planes (1 hour), or several daily confortable day trains (5 hours from Helsinki Central Railways Station connected by train with the airport) surrounded by beautiful snowy landscapes. One way train ticket = average 60 €, booking panoramic seat included. Train ticket must be purchased as soon as possible).
From Joensuu City to your accommodation in koli village (1 hour) : Public bus-taxi-coach-rent a car (you'll decide later this transfer), depending your timetable, type of accomodation, number of people and your budget. You can also spend a night in Joensuu for shopping ( one "K" hyper-market andplenty shops in the city marke + 1 hyper-market Prisma in the suburb of Joensuu ).

NOTICE : If you don't stay in an hotel in Koli ; , we advice you to rent a car in Joensuu (for a part of all members of your group), for the length of time of all your stay for your daily shopping, night life, restaurant and to go to alpine Koli ski slopes :) Or just to reach your rented chalet-bungalow-apartment (equiped with fully linnen and a fully equiped kitchen).

In Hotels *** & ****, youth resort and country farm house, or B&B accomodations : Price per "standard" room occupied by 2 persons (sometimes there is an extra cost for a room occupied by 1 or 3 or 4 persons - You can ask for a "higher category" of room wiith an extra cost. If standard room is no more available, we'll tell you before the booking the evesntual extra cost for a higher category of room available. Please, see pricelist for each accomodation) - Breakfast is included.
In hotels, on your request, you can get an Half Board ( HB, with breakfast + dinner ), Full Board (FB, breakfast + lunch and dinner), or, without any food, just renting (You'll buy food at shops by yourself. Sometimes, you get discounts with the IEC card).
With rented accomodations ; bed linen and final cleaning are provided and included. Eventual baby-bed or kid-bed are available if requested at the booking.
Notices : There are no star levels in Finland, we just compare with French standards. WIFI in room. Sauna & dryer in accomodation.

Gastronomic Restaurant "Bomba"

Traditional Bomba House in the middle of the whole Karelian village has a Restaurant "Bomba" which exudes hospitality and Karelian culture.

The Bomba House is a copy of a house built by Jegor Bombin in 1855 in Russian Karelia.

The house represents traditional Karelian building style, and it is itself a real attraction.

The actual "Chef" and his team is really excellent. Wines are perfectly choosen.

We advice IEC tested delicious menu "Valamo" (wines included) to make lifetime souvenir :)

In Koli village, the Sale shop contains a small pharmacy and postal services. The closest ATM is located in Kolin Portti along Highway 6 at a distance of 12 km. The automatic ABC station in Koli village offers 98 octane petrol and diesel. The closest service station is located in Kolin Portti.
The closest Alko is situated in Juua, 39 km from the hotel. In the winter, you can take the ice road to Lieksa to access its lively urban centre and various services. In the summer, you can go to Lieksa by the scenic route around Pielinen. The distance to Joensuu is 75 km.
